Grip thickness is larger.

Thicker grip over stock circumference. Good but not perfect fit. Small area on right grip panel at top has visual gap. The rest almost perfect. Slide lock missing enough recess almost doesn’t work.

I got lucky and scored a W. German P226 that was in great condition overall, but had a few nicks on the grips from hitting things. If you need new grips for a P226, you know what your choices are, stock OEM, or Hogue.Or so I thought that was all I was going to find. Then I came across these when searching. The OEM plastic grips are going to cost you fifty to your door from Sig. And then you have plastic grips again. If you want something better, Sig sells wood grips for OVER TWICE what these cost. And they aren't as good looking.That gold bar just looks great the way it catches light. Right now I'm looking at the gun sitting on my desk, and it's in shadow but the metal accents are lit up from the reflected window light.My biggest concern was fitment. I didn't want to have any gaps or slippage that will pinch my hand when shooting. It looks like these were finished on a jig to ensure a tight fit. I wouldn't call it seamless but from a few feet away, you don't see a seam. And there's zero gap between the scales or where they meet the horn. Like a nicely made piece of furniture.To the eye, it does appear to be Walnut. A good quality one, with decent figure. I know the design is machine cut, and that's fine nowadays, I'd rather have a perfect machine cut than 99% quality but cut by hand.And the decocker and slide release levers work with proper clearance, as well as the mag release void is clearanced well. I am really happy with these.
